| Miss Leeds Area Rising Star Program How to Enter |
| Miss Leeds Area Pageant Girls ages 7 to 11 are invited to participate in the Miss Leeds Area Rising Star program! Rising Star is mentoring program through the Miss Alabama Scholarship Pageant. Miss Leeds Area is an official preliminary to the Miss Alabama Scholarship Pageant. The Miss Leeds Area Rising Stars will enjoy an afternoon on July 31, 2010 of fun, games and mentoring, then will return that evening to participate in the Miss Leeds Area Pageant. (A package with exact times and details will be sent to each Rising Star after the deadline.) Additional information: *Rising Stars must be between the ages of 7 and 11 (and must not turn 12 before June 30, 2011) *Rising Stars will be randomly assigned a contestant (unless a contestant or star requests a particular pairing) *There is a $50 fee to participate *Rising Stars will be required to fill out an application and provide a 5x7 photograph to the Miss Leeds Area pageant by July 20, 2010. *Rising Stars will need a pair of white athletic shorts (A T-shirt will be provided) for the opening number *Rising Stars will need to change DURING THE SHOW (moms will need to assist) into a dressy dress (no pageant wear, just something you would wear to church). *The Rising Star’s contestant that wins will have their $350 fee paid to participate at the Miss Alabama Pageant in June, 2011. (See the Miss Alabama website at www.missalabama.com for more information) PLEASE NOTE: RISING STAR APPLICATIONS WILL BE TAKEN ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS AND WILL BE LIMITED TO THE NUMBER OF CONTESTANTS IN THE MISS LEEDS AREA PAGEANT (NO MORE THAN 20). PLEASE GET YOUR APPLICATION IN AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE TO ENSURE A SPOT! (If an unfortunate, last minute incident occurs and a contestant is a no-show or cannot participate for any other reason, Miss Leeds Area will make every effort to ensure each rising star’ s participation, however we cannot guarantee each application will be matched with a contestant. Regardless, the Rising Stars will participate in the opening number and will be introduced. Again, it is strictly a first come, first serve situation.)
